Taught by an international consultant in risk management and former operational risk management executive, this course reviews the content of the new BS 31100 standard and addresses the key elements to achieve compliance. Trainer: Professor Ariane Chapelle Ariane Chapelle is an international consultant in risk management. She provides advanced consulting services in operational risk management and private banking for several large financial institutions in Europe and the UK, along with executive training in all areas of risk management, finance and financial regulation. She has divided her career between the academic world and the financial industry; where she held responsibilities in internal audit, credit risk and operational risk management. Ariane is tenured Associate Professor of Finance at the Solvay Business School (Belgium) and Class Tutor of the Masters in Finance at London Business School (UK). She holds a PhD in Economics, a Masters in Econometrics and a Masters in Management Science from the University of Brussels (ULB). She has been working on risk management issues for more than 10 years and has been training academic and professional audiences for more than 15 years. Training Methodology The course is designed as a practical, interactive training session on the BS31100 Risk Management Standard, its issues and challenges. Basic knowledge in risk management and control is required. Active participation is encouraged for participants to gain full value from the course.
